When it comes to roulette betting strategies are everything. To understand what a roulette bet is and to understand roulette betting in general read on to learn more.
The roulette bet at the entire layout of the game dates back as far as 1842 and comes from France. The layout involves two different betting areas- the inside betting area and the outside betting area. In its most simplistic explanation, the inside betting area takes into account the individual numbers that make up the layout while the outside betting area contains boxes for each column which includes different numbers as well as odd/even and red/black ones. The numbers that make up the inside area are laid out in 12 rows that each consist of three numbers and these form three vertical columns. At the top of each column are the numbers 0 and 00. What is a bet in roulette called? A roulette bet is different depending on whether it is on the inside or outside of the betting area. Inside roulette bets can be straight, split, street, corner or sixline. A straight or straight up inside bet is a single number where the chip lies exactly in the middle of a square of a number. A split bet on the roulette betting system is a bet placed on two adjoining number that are vertical or horizontal (such as for example, 8-9 or 14-17). In this case the chip is positioned on the line that exists between the two numbers. A street bet is placed on three numbers that are to be found on a single line that is horizontal in nature. The chip in this case is positioning on the edge of the left or right of the number that is found at the end of the line. The corner bet or square bet is simply a bet on four numbers that are to be found in a square layout such as 14-15 or 11-12. The chip needs to be placed where the horizontal and vertical lines intersect. The sixline bet or "sixaine" is a bet that can be found on two adjoining streets with the chip being positioned at the corresponding intersection. Easy roulette bets are not always so easy. Always consider a roulette betting strategy when it comes to betting on a roulette game or when looking at any roulette bet. Roulette outside bets includes the even money bets, the group bets and the column bets. The even money bets are placed on 18 numbers and represent either the red/black/high/low/odd or even attributes in boxes. The group bets are roulette bets that take place on the first, second or even third series of a twelve number sequence. The column bets take place on 12 numbers when it comes to the three vertical lines such as fro example the 1-4-7-10 and all the way to the number 34.
